Fear No Fear

“The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your countenance fallen?” (Genesis 4:6, MEV). This is not that far away from the point that Adam rebelled and humanity fell. God didn’t abandon them. They were in a state where they could no longer meet Him face to face in person. He was righteous. They were sin-filled. But He hadn’t stopped talking to them. Cain was NOT surprised to hear from God. He wasn’t shocked. This had obviously happened before. God hadn’t abandoned them. He was still helping them. He was still giving them instructions. Guidance. Correction. He was still being a good Father to them. He still loved them and was still present with them. How much more is He present with us? We’re no longer sin-filled. We’re washed clean AND adopted into His family. We are His righteousness when we are resting in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). Do you think He’s going to stop helping us, talking to us, guiding us, and correcting us? By no means! God STILL loves us and will ALWAYS talk to us. He is always helping us along. If we will listen to Him and obey what He tells us to do, we will be in the BEST place with the BEST Father having gotten us there.
