Fear No Fear

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet” (Proverbs 3:24. MEV). Night time is really the main time that we are trapped with our thoughts. There’s nothing to distract us. The day we just had, the day that’s approaching, the burdens, the stresses, the ways in which ends aren’t meeting, and the obligations or mistakes we’re responsible for mount up for battle and charge through our minds. But when we follow Exodus 20:2-3 and have God as our Source and our primary focus, we won’t need to worry. We know the buck stops on His desk, not ours. We are still responsible. We still have consequences (good and bad). But the PLANNING the DECIDING is what He does. He makes the plan. We obey it. He tells us what the wise moves are, and we make them. If we’ll put Him first, we won’t NEED to worry. We won’t NEED to fear. We won’t NEED to panic. Because Jesus will be on the case and we’ll have a 24/7 advisor and protector to guide us through any and everything that comes up. He ALWAYS know the best move. What touches hearts. What the missteps are. If we will put Him first and submit to His plan, we will be above our problems instead of mired inside them. With God is PEACE and FREEDOM. It’s restful. It’s a joy. It’s a great gift from our loving Father. And it NEVER fails.
