“Behold, I stand at the door and knock! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, indeed I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20
Relationships can change negatively. The people involved can get caught up in other things. The responsibilities and pressures of life interfering. Maybe things pick up at work, or you get a different position. Even if it was one you were looking forward to, it might not be working out how you thought it would. A school course might be different than advertised. Or a purchase. Often we look at what IS and think ‘I want it to go back the way it was’. That’s the viewpoint Adonai has about humanity. He wants it back to the way it was. That’s what everything has been about. Founding a way for humanity to get back to Him before creating humanity. Because Adonai wants each and every single human being in a relationship with Himself and operating as they were meant to (1 Timothy 2:3-7).
Adonai created Adam. He LOVED Adam. He wanted a relationship with Adam that was never-ending. Adam visited Adonai. Spoke to Adonai. Worked with Adonai. Tended His creation. Was filled with Anointing. Had authority. Had dominion (not domination). And was in perfect harmony and fellowship with Adonai. So was Eve. Until they chose NOT to TRUST. Ever since that moment, Adonai’s will has been the restoration of that perfect harmony and fellowship. It is not something WE can do. It is something that MUST be done for us. Jesus paid the price so that WE could. Jesus continued to set in motion what Adonai set in motion before the beginning of everything (Revelation 13:8). And it WILL come to pass. It is the plan of Adonai and it will come to pass. It will not be thwarted. “For Yahweh of hosts has planned, and who will frustrate it? And his hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?” (Isaiah 14:27).
Humanity is thick-headed. Since we were cut off from Adonai and left without all the extras that come with His anointing, we decided to choose to believe they didn’t exist. If we can’t prove it, it’s false. If we don’t experience it, it doesn’t exist. If it cannot be accessed through one of our senses, it isn’t real. So Adonai gave us a peek. He let us look at the ending, even though we’re not there yet. He’s been talking about it from the beginning, but we don’t always believe Him. So He showed us. He pulled back the curtain for a moment or two and let us see what happens. He let us watch the end. From the past, He showed us where everything ends up and the reckoning coming their way. Revelation wasn’t meant to be comprehensive, merely conclusive. We KNOW that HE knows what is going to happen. AND we can take both encouragement and hope that in the end, all things will happen as the plan determined. “who from the beginning declares the end, and from before, things that have not been done, who says, ‘My plan shall stand,’ and, ‘I will accomplish all my wishes” (Isaiah 46:10).
There is a blessing for reading out loud the book of Revelation (Revelation 1:3). Adonai does that because we are a species that likes to know. Adonai knows the end from the beginning and we are made in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-28). We want to know the ending. We like to have hope and purpose. It brings us comfort. That’s why Ruach HaKodesh encourages us to get into the Word. It shows us the ending. AND how we can thrive and survive everything between the end and where we are. Ruach HaKodesh does not deny the hardship that can be present in life. He focuses on Adonai. On Jesus. On our relationship with Him and the reward that comes from maintaining that relationship through belief and trust in Jesus.
We cannot see the future, even though we all desire to know what is going to happen. Whether or not our efforts this way or that will affect the circumstances of our future. We need to listen to Ruach HaKodesh and learn to trust in Jesus. In all things. In everything we do, and under every circumstance that comes our way. because we know how it ends. He told us. Alpha-Omega reassured us. Jesus promised He could lift us above our problems. Give us perspective. Give us wisdom. Give us knowledge of where to walk and how. So we won’t SEE them as problems, but as opportunities to see God’s grace and mercy come to pass. To bring glory to Adonai. To KNOW that we KNOW that we KNOW that He is in charge. Our saviour, Lord, and King. Taken care of in every way. Cooperating with Jesus and letting Adonai call the shots. Blessed, highly favoured, and victorious in Jesus, our King. Amen.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Psalm 37:17-18
“For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh supports the righteous. Yahweh knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will be forever.” Adonai is a just God. The wicked can look like they are partying hardy, but in the END they will get comeuppance. They will get what they deserve. But those who respond to Ruach HaKodesh and answer the Father’s call, they will be embraced by Jesus. In His loving kindness they will find their security and their peace. In Him, they will find their rest from toil. They will be able to work in peace, rest in peace, and turn over everything to Him from which it came. When Adonai is our Source, our Lord, and our God, there is nothing we lack. Nothing is more comforting than knowing that HE knows EXACTLY when things will happen. EXACTLY when the end is. EXACTLY when we will walk in the fullness of the inheritance that He laid aside for His BELOVED children. And inheritance that NO ONE can steal from us. EVER. What a GOOD God!
