2026 Daily Affirmation #2

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14, MEV). It is so important that we know Jesus that He went out of His way to make sure that we do. First, God has always spoken to us. Always. Before the Fall. After the Fall. God SPEAKS to us. But not all of us are listening (Matthew 11:15). Then the Word, passed down orally since Adam, was written by Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16). He chose human beings to write it down (2 Peter 1:21). For thousands of years now, it’s been available for us to read and meditate on. To study and learn from. To get to know God’s moral character and His Son Jesus. But not everyone is reading with intent. To learn. To correct. To be renewed (Romans 12:2). So Jesus came to us. Came and lived with us. Pitched the tabernacle of mortal flesh and lived just like we do. To be our example. To be our teacher. To be our friend (John 15:15). To be our King and Lord, lifted up as The Name. Our Saviour (Acts 4:12). Since Jesus returned to heaven, Holy Spirit has been given as a gift to all of us. To reside in the hearts of believers and to inhabit the Earth, calling all to look to Jesus. Pointing to Him. Whispering constantly to all of us of the trust we can have in Jesus. First for salvation and then for everything else (John 16:8-11) – relying on Jesus’ righteousness as our pattern and example (1 Peter 2:21-25). THAT is how much God wants us to know Him. THAT is how much God loves us. He does EVERYTHING to get the Truth to us. EVERYTHING to make sure we have the opportunity to know Him and His Son and His Spirit and have the relationship that IS eternal life (John 17:3). He is God and He is GOOD to us.
