Fear No Fear

“You have pushed against me, that I was falling, but the Lord helped me” (Psalm 118:13, MEV). We are not left helpless. It is natural in a fallen creation that those going the other way (toward righteousness) get pushed. The world’s system push. Evil people who choose to stand against God push. The devil pushes. Our old habits born in a dead nature push. All these things push. But we have God helping us. He is there giving us the hand we need to get back up or to keep from falling in the first place. His ground that we stand on is FIRM. It does not shake. It does not tilt. It does not change when our feelings do. It is solid. Dependable. And ALWAYS unchanging (James 4:7; Hebrews 13:8). It is a huge relief to know that there are absolutes and that God’s HELP is one of them. He will NEVER abandon us. He ALWAYS is pointing toward the way we can stand, escape, and prevail against that which seeks to interfere with our relationship with Him (1 Corinthians 10:13). It is absolute truth that hand in hand with God, aligned with His will, there is nothing whatsoever that can stop us. He IS our help. He IS our strength. And we are NEVER at the mercy of anything that would seek to separate us. He is THERE and He is WITH US.
