Fear No Fear

“He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall find protection; His faithfulness shall be your shield and wall” (Psalm 91:4, MEV). I was encouraged by the devil this morning. That was NOT his intention. But instead of indulging in reminiscence of past sin, I responded with GRATEFULNESS to God because He SAVED me from that. Yes, at the time it ‘felt good’ and I am sure I would have done it a lot more, but I was blind to the opportunities until after the fact. Things stopped me from progressing. And occasionally the words in my mind were NOT the words that came out of my mouth. God SAVED me from myself. God SAVED me from sin. God FREED me from that lifestyle and those opportunities. More and more I find myself not looking back and getting tempted. When the past comes to mind I am THANKFUL and GRATEFUL and need to PRAISE HIM for what He has done to save me. Life is so much BETTER now. Life is so much MORE ENJOYABLE now. The pleasures in my life are truly PLEASURABLE and do NOT come with pain, heartache, misery, or REGRET. He is SO GOOD to us. He is FAITHFUL to the prayers of our loved ones. He is FAITHFUL to the promises He has made. He is FAITHFUL to the things WE said as children, but walked away from. He is FAITHFUL. He is MERCIFUL. He is SO VERY GOOD to us. He LOVES us SO MUCH! Thank you, God, for your ever-loving kindness and faithfulness. You are SO GOOD.
