“Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters,” (Isaiah 43:16, MEV). I recently travelled to the major downtown metropolis in the area of the world where I reside. I picked a weekend and naturally so did MANY other people. In addition to that, there were no less than ELEVEN demonstrations of various sizes taking place throughout the city. Streets were blocked off. Access to areas was shut down. And navigating the normally busy city became a serious challenge. Google Maps was useless because they could not keep up with the temporary closures. I had no way to make a way. We had to wing it. Everything turned out fine, but it really was an effective lesson for how our lives work. So much stuff comes up out of nowhere. Attacks and difficulties and issues – some temporary and some not. How do you navigate it all? The world can’t keep up. Their systems and the general philosophies don’t cut it. We’re often swimming against the tide and on the brink of drowning. But the Father LOVES us. Jesus LOVES us. Holy Spirit LOVES us. They have a Way that WORKS. That not only gets us through, but gets us through to a beneficial place. To a PEACEFUL place. To THEIR place. When the world around me is chaos, I am grateful for their love which put a solid path beneath my feet and a light to illuminate it for me – and also a guide to lead me by the hand. God is SO GOOD to us!
