“God created the large sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good.“
Genesis 1:21
This is when the LARGE sea creatures were created. The movers. He spoke His intent and now we see them coming forth. Each after their own kind, separate species, and a VARIETY of them.
As we move into His creation of living things (things with souls: mind/will/emotion), it is interesting to note that He did not need to TRAIN them. They came into being knowing how to live, move, eat, procreate, etc. They had knowledge inside themselves that showed them what to do. This is interesting, because in Romans 1:18-20 Paul writes “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.” Human beings have knowledge planted inside of us of the existence and reality of Yahweh, God Almighty. We can hide it. We can deny it. But it IS there. Just like the animals knew how to live their lives, we KNOW that God exists. That’s why people get to feeling so guilty about ungodly things. They KNOW inside themselves that it’s ungodly.
‘it was good’. God thought out His creation and creations. He spoke them into being. They were produced according to His words. They were all exactly as He envisioned and exactly as He designed. He didn’t need to change it, alter it, kill off some of it, or do ANYTHING because it came out EXACTLY as He wanted – and He knows the end from the beginning so He did not create or call for anything that would have been a problem or issue for humanity or the planet should they obey, procreate, and fill the space in which they lived (as some sages posit happened with Leviathan because it is mentioned plurally in this verse and singularly in later scriptures).
