Fear No Fear

“He said, “If the Lord will not help you, how can I help you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?”” (2 Kings 6:27, MEV). This king was surrounded. Besieged. The people were desperate. Some resorting to cannibalism. When one of his people cried out to him, the king threw it back on her. Because how could HE help? He was in the same boat as she was. The same position. Only GOD could help them – but he was doubting that help would come. We are not in that position. We are not looking outward to see if maybe God will help or maybe God will not. We have Holy Spirit dwelling inside us (1 Corinthians 3:16). We have Jesus who is with us always, regardless of location or circumstances, until the end of the end (Matthew 28:20). We have NO UNCERTAINTY. We KNOW that He will help us. We do NOT have to rely on people to decide to help us in themselves. God will send people to help us, God will show us what we need to do, God will open up opportunities for us, and we will be a witness for what God can do – even in dire circumstances from which this flesh won’t survive (martyrs). God is above all, and He will put US above our troubles and circumstances to give us His point of view on it. To give us His peace. To give us His security. We KNOW that we KNOW that we KNOW because we KNOW that He loves us. And that love for us transcends everything, transforms everything, and turns everything around. It always has and it always will.
