“There are various operations, but it is the same God who operates all of them in all people” (1 Corinthians 12:6, MEV). I’m a believer in healing. It hasn’t passed away. It was announced upon arrival and it was never declared over. The prayer founded on trust in Jesus DOES work. Once we accept what Jesus released on the cross, healing comes. BUT you’ll notice that healing doesn’t come all the time. That is NOT a failure of God, but a failure by us in receiving. I could not BEGIN to answer why that is. Why we miss it. Why it doesn’t happen even when we are speaking belief and trying to trust. I am grateful that God doesn’t limit Himself to US. He gifted doctors in healing. He gifted chemists in compounds, medicines, and poultices. He gave us mothers with a soothing touch. He gave us friends, partners, and spouses. He gave us children and siblings and extended family. God wants us well. And God will use ANY and EVERY method in His EXTENSIVE repertoire in order to see us receive it. If we won’t take it one way, He’ll get it to us in another. I’m a believer in healing because I’m a believer in His moral character. I believe that He loves us. I believe that He wants good things for us. Sickness, disease, and conditions are NOT good for us. They are NOT for us. Health and wholeness are. Across the board. For everyone. I believe in healing because I believe in the love Jesus has for us. Jesus LOVES us. Every one.
