Fear No Fear

“Sow to yourselves righteousness, reap mercy, break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until He comes and rains righteousness upon you” (Hosea 10:12, MEV). Seed time and harvest. Created as the cycles of this world. Given to Noah as proof that the world is continuing. They are physical laws just as insistent as gravity. We have been given the gift of words and the intellect to understand them. We have the ability to produce them. And through them, influence the world around us. The attitudes of the people we meet. Our own attitudes. Our expectations. And opportunities for goodness to be our focus. Our words inform our deeds. We tend to do what we say. We lean toward them. So if our words are righteous (focusing on and inhabiting the words of the Lord – the scriptures), we start to think righteous. When we think righteous, we start to act righteous. When the Word is our value system, we will begin to act accordingly. We will start to embody the character of God because we think it and speak it. When we plant the Word in our hearts, we get a PHENOMENAL harvest. What a great gift God gave us. How He loves us. What a great tool for freeing ourselves from our feelings and basing our lives on real Truth and Mercy. What a GOOD God!
