“and call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will glorify Me” (Psalm 50:15, MEV). In the day of trouble, God doesn’t have to figure it out. This is not when He is aware of the trouble. This is when WE are aware of the trouble: when it arrives. We are perhaps taken by surprise. God is not. In fact, if you look through the scriptures you will see again and again God preparing His people for trouble. God putting people in place so that others can be saved, provided for, and carried through the troubles. Those who trusted in Him and believed what He said were taken care of. Those who did not trust, suffered terribly. When trouble happens, we need to turn to God for guidance and leadership. BEFORE trouble happens, we need to be listening and building up our trust in Him (Romans 10:17). God loves us. God provides for us. God has a plan for us to make it through. But we need to humbly submit to Him and be obedient. We need to go to where He tells us to go (1 Kings 17:3-4). God loves us. If we will believe Him and trust in that love, we should do what He says. When we do, we will ALWAYS have a way through to the other side. He loves us. He provides a Way. But we must listen and we must obey.
