Fear No Fear

“For until the law, sin was in the world. But sin is not counted when there is no law” (Romans 5:13, MEV). God is merciful and God is just. He doesn’t condemn people. When people with a sin nature perform sins, He is aware of it. He doesn’t ‘let you off the hook’. But if you don’t KNOW that it’s wrong, He doesn’t mark it up as wilful sin. That’s why He gave the Law. So that humanity would recognize what was sinful. We all have a knowledge within us about what’s right and wrong, but the Law codified it. It’s been spreading ever since. God deals with our hearts. He doesn’t start doing it when you hear about Jesus. He doesn’t stop doing it if you don’t believe right away. God keeps talking to us. Over and over. Getting that message in that there is a right and there is a wrong. The Gospel message is that Jesus paid for your wrongs. Jesus paid the price. You don’t have that bill hanging over your head if you don’t want it. If you choose to accept Jesus’ payment, you’ll get to be right with God the way you were designed to be. If you reject Jesus, you’re choosing to pay it yourself. The bill is there. We all have to face it. But because of His love, you can face it with His credit card and not your bank account. He loves us SO MUCH, He wants us to accept His mercy. He wants us to accept His love.
