Fear No Fear

“For freedom Christ freed us. Stand fast therefore and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1, MEV). It is a JOY to be free. It is a JOY not to be stuck thinking the way the world around us thinks. Isn’t it wonderful that we don’t have to get upset about every increase in cost? Isn’t it a relief not to have to worry about the latest cold or flu or disease transmitted by fleas, mosquitoes, or monkeys? Isn’t it great that when the latest fad thinking comes up, we don’t HAVE to agree? Isn’t it great that we don’t have to rely on our FEELINGS when we are building and experiencing our EMOTIONS? When Jesus sets you free you are TRULY free (John 8:36). That is SUCH a blessing. It’s a mark of how much we are loved that Jesus frees us from the bondage of broken thinking and broken habits. It’s a mark of how much we are loved that we can constantly and consistently renew our thinking to what GOD says is possible in order to bring HIM glory (Romans 12:2). When we put God where God belongs in our thinking by realising how MUCH Jesus loves us and wants us to be the best us that we can be, it revolutionizes our thinking. We can age and not deteriorate. We can be in the midst of a depression and not be depressed. We can be tossed to and fro by inflation and tariffs and taxes and policies and not experience lack. We can be human and we can be whole and healthy. We can be male and we can be female and we can feel fine and satisfied and complete. In JESUS, by JESUS’ works, and through JESUS’ sacrifice, we can be EVERYTHING God created us to be. He loved us into the Kingdom, He loves us into His point of view, and He can love us into a fulfilled life for His glory. That’s how much He loves us.
