2026 Daily Affirmation #58

No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, and He will not permit you to be tempted above what you can endure, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13, MEV). Focus helps you concentrate on a task by minimizing distractions. Our phones and tablets have features that do that. Whole devices have been made that help keep you distraction free while working (like the Freewrite or Pomera). We put blinders on animals to keep them from being distracted or startled. We learn mental techniques. We develop focused study habits. All to keep us locked onto the task at hand. God has always warned us that we need to stay focused on Him in order to avoid the problems of this world from BEING problems. They could be situations we find coming against us. Situations where we apply what He says, when He says, and how He says so that we leave the situation and it doesn’t fester into a problem. It doesn’t matter WHAT is coming against us or what the source of it is. If we keep focused on Him, it will never be a problem and there will always be a way out. It might be uncomfortable, but it won’t defeat us. It might take some effort, but in Jesus we can overcome it because He already did the heavy lifting. God provides us with this because He loves us. When we keep our thoughts on His love, and His moral character, it’s easy to keep our focus. The more ‘in love’ we are, the more we remain focused on Him. Interacting with Him. His love for us makes it so simple to love Him back. To be focused on Him. That focus saves us from so many things all throughout our days. It’s the best way to live.
