Fear No Fear

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10, MEV). Fear will keep you from listening to Jesus. It will keep you from being obedient. We hear something God wants us to do, seeing it clearly in the Word. But we wonder about what people will think. Or we wonder if we could really do that. Or we think of the effort it will take to keep from going back to the way we were. We fear – or decide – that we can’t change. Or that there are too many unknowns to go where God has called us or do what He’s calling us to do. Fear is anti-God. It wants to chain you. It wants to keep you from developing. It wants to keep you from LIVING. God wants you free. God wants you to have abundant life – that is a life that doesn’t lack. It doesn’t mean we’re going from crackers on Friday to mansions and jets overnight. It doesn’t mean no problems, no issues, and a life of ease. It means a life that is rich in every area. It means a life of JOY and not a life dependent on our feelings. It means a life of PEACE and SECURITY whether we are in the suburbs or a war zone. It means relying on God – the God who MADE everything that there is. He is MORE THAN ENOUGH to care for you. He is MORE THAN ENOUGH to provide for you. And He is MORE THAN ENOUGH to protect you in all the ways you truly need protecting. God loves us. God loves you. He wants to see you live without the chains of fear. Without the chains that hold you back and keep you from the BLESSING that He has for you because He loves you. It all starts with Him. Trusting Him. Believing what He says. He WILL protect you. He WILL supply your needs. He WILL bless you. Trust Him. Trust that He loves you. Kick fear to the curb by embracing trust in Jesus.
