“This was the dedication offering of the altar, on the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve silver platters, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden ladles; each silver platter weighing one hundred thirty shekels, and each bowl seventy; all the silver of the vessels two thousand four hundred shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; the twelve golden ladles, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; all the gold of the ladles weighed one hundred twenty shekels; all the cattle for the burnt offering twelve bulls, the rams twelve, the male lambs a year old twelve, and their meal offering; and twelve male goats for a sin offering; and all the cattle for the sacrifice of peace offerings: twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty male goats, and sixty male lambs a year old. This was the dedication offering of the altar, after it was anointed. When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Yahweh, he heard his voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two cherubim; and he spoke to him.”
(Numbers 7:84-89)
“Yahweh reigns! Let the peoples tremble.
He sits enthroned among the cherubim.
Let the earth be moved.
Yahweh is great in Zion.
He is high above all the peoples.
Let them praise your great and awesome name.
He is Holy!
The King’s strength also loves justice.
You establish equity.
You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt Yahweh our God.
Worship at his footstool.
He is Holy!“
(Psalm 99:1-5)
Everyone worshipped the Lord. Each one of the head of the tribes came forward and gave their offerings. No one gave less than the others. No one tried to give more. They gave exactly what they were supposed to give. They gave freely. They all got what they needed to do their jobs. They were equipped. They were thankful. They worshipped. And when they did, God spoke to them. Moses went into God and God spoke to Moses. When worship was living, the channel was open because they weren’t blocking it with their SELVES.
The joy of the Lord is our strength. That strength loves justice. It is righteous. It doesn’t put up with lack. It doesn’t put up with sickness. It doesn’t put up with less than. God is HOLY. God is FULL. God is MORE THAN. He equips us for our calling. He blesses us with what He has. He gives to His children. He gives because when we worship we are able to receive. He gives because when we worship we’re aware of the difference between us and God and we exalt Him as what He is: HOLY. We don’t hold back when we know it to be true. He doesn’t either. And together, hand in hand, we bless everyone around us by, through, and in the Will of God. He is a GOOD God and He gives GOOD things because GOOD things reflect His GLORY and ignites our thankfulness.
Summary
The secret to having MORE THAN is to realize that is ALL that God gives. That creates such thankfulness and JOY that you can’t HELP but worship God. It isn’t about THINGS or STUFF. Enjoy it when you have it and give it away in good condition when you’ve had it enough. BLESS those around you because God is a good of BLESSING and that is a WONDERFUL testimony to His goodness!
