Fear No Fear

“The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good” (Psalm 14:1, MEV). The greatest evidence that the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was consumed by humanity is the VERY human idea that our opinions MATTER. We don’t think this and we don’t think that. We think this and we think that. We say it with such selfish pride. As if OUR experience, no matter how personal or real, is the determiner of reality. Saying ‘I think all paths are valid’ or ‘there’s more than one way to God’ is ridiculously selfish human thinking. But luckily for us God LOVES us. Where someone has never heard the truth, God doesn’t hold them responsible in the same way as when someone has heard the truth (Romans 4:15). All have sinned, but God wants to help us accept salvation WAY MORE than we want it (2 Peter 3:9). In fact, that’s why Jesus came. So that the Sin thing could be paid for and God didn’t have to be wrathful about it anymore (John 3:16-18). So that the barrier was removed and God could deal with us apart from sin. So that He could call us ALL to accept what Jesus did and change our DNA from sinful to righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus is THE Way because His Way is the ONLY way that deals with SIN – and sin is the ONLY thing blocking us from God. It’s the only thing that was EVER blocking us from God. Jesus didn’t WANT that. The Father didn’t WANT that. Holy Spirit didn’t WANT that. They did what they did because they LOVE us and WANT US WITH THEM. Period. Always have. Always will. Their love for us is CONSTANT.
