Fear No Fear

“As for God, His way has integrity; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all those who take refuge in Him” (Psalm 18:30, MEV). The same thing is reiterated in Proverbs 30:5. God loves us enough to provide shelter for us. If we will take advantage of that, we will have a shield to protect us from everything outside of Him. That’s the whole point of a refuge. It’s a place that provides shelter. A place where we go when we have nothing to save us. That’s what Jesus came to be for us. Shelter. Protection. The great thing is that we don’t have to hide, we only need to shelter in Jesus. Jesus will be with us wherever we go. He comes with us into our workplaces. Into our homes. Into our shopping and our recreation. Into our bedrooms and vehicles. Into every aspect of our lives from dawn until the next dawn. He isn’t guessing. He isn’t stumbling about. He KNOWS what is best. Best for us and best for those around us. When we LISTEN and OBEY, we will NEVER be steered wrong. We will NEVER fail. We will ALWAYS have what we need, when we need it, to accomplish EVERYTHING that He’s given us to do. Equipped, protected, and victorious. Who wouldn’t want that? That’s salvation. That’s Jesus’ love made manifest.
