2026 Daily Affirmation #75

God, who at various times and in diverse ways spoke long ago to the fathers through the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the world” (Hebrews 1:1-2). God never stops talking to us. He spoke through the prophets. He speaks through Jesus. God is always trying to get what’s on His mind onto our minds. We recognize Jesus’ voice (John 10:27). We know He is speaking to us. But we don’t always LISTEN. We hear him. But we don’t always listen. It’s easy to tune Him out because we can flood our ears, minds, and hearts with all the noise of the world. We can doom scroll our social media. We can channel surf. We can blast music, read books, and do hobbies, chores, or even double-down at work. What we do doesn’t even need to be ‘bad’ or trash. We can fill up our ears with good things. Godly things. Positive things. But we still wouldn’t be LISTENING. It is not when we are busy and engaged that we know He is God. It is when we are still. Silent. And listening. He loves us enough to not stop speaking to us. But it is up to us to engage with that and listen. To give Him our time. To give Him place. To show Him we love Him by respecting Him enough to listen.
