Fear No Fear

“This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent” (John 17:3, MEV). We NEVER need to stop learning about who Jesus is to us. He loves us and we love Him. And if there’s one thing we learn from human relationships is that when there is love we want to know everything there is to know about the other person. Not smothering them (ideally), but getting everything there is no know out of them. Ready for more as they adapt and change because of life’s circumstances. But with God, we never have to worry about smothering Him because He is infinitely greater than we are. We can plumb the depths of Jesus’ love because it is endless and there will always be something more to learn. God’s nature itself is all about growing and expanding. So even in Heaven as we learn all there is to know, another facet will be revealed and there will be something more to know. Humans are an incurably curious species. We were created with a deep desire to know. To learn. To seek. To discover. There is ALWAYS something to learn about God. To learn about God’s relationship to us. A new facet. A new aspect. Something we overlooked. It’s one of the reasons that there is always something knew to get out of the bible, no matter HOW many times you’ve read it. There is ALWAYS something to know about God. We are a perfect match with Him. Created to know. Created to seek His face. His love reflected in our love. Starting now, and never ceasing. Ever.
