“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and supplies bread for your food will also multiply your seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness” (2 Corinthians 9:10, MEV). We are called to live righteously (1 Peter 2:24). We are called to do the works God prepared for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). We’re called to do the EXACT SAME THINGS Jesus did during His ministry here on Earth (John 14:12). We’re called to renew our minds with the Word on a consistent basis so that we share God’s point of view on everything (Romans 12:2). And we’re called to prosper spiritually, physically, emotionally, productively, empathetically, relationally, financially, intentionally, and in every other way possible (3 John 2). All of that is what we are called to do. And ALL of that is IMPOSSIBLE for us to do. There is NO WAY for US to do it. We don’t have the resources, the functionality, the strength, or the nature for it. But God is a JUST God. He would NEVER call us to do something we COULD NOT do. He NEVER asks for what CANNOT be accomplished. The answer is that God GIVES US what we need to accomplish what He has tasked us to do. He EMPOWERS us. He EQUIPS us. He TRAINS us. He GUIDES us. He WALKS WITH US. And most importantly, He uses HIS power THROUGH us so that we are conduits, points of contact, for what He wants to do on this Earth. So it isn’t US who does the work, but Jesus IN US who accomplishes what we are called to accomplish. God provides us EVERYTHING that we need to do what we have been tasked to. He does ALL the heavy lifting. We are simply asked to obey. To agree. To humbly submit so that we do what He says, when He says, and how He says. So that we can do with Him what we cannot do on our own (Matthew 19:26). God loves us enough to make sure we succeed. God loves us enough to make sure we can bless others. God loves us enough to do the impossible.
