Fear No Fear

“Likewise, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous men who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7, MEV). Have you ever seen a young child on their birthday? If they’re too young they don’t realise what day it is, but get into it VERY quickly. Those a little older know what day it is. They often count the days down. They get VERY excited. Up earlier than usual, bounding with energy, almost TOO excited. I know of some kids who have gotten so excited about what’s happening that they get physically sick – their bodies unable to cope with the sheer adrenaline rush of unbridled JOY coursing through their bodies. This is how excited Jesus gets about us. This is the JOY that He feels when we accept His gift. When we CHOOSE to have a relationship with Him forever. When we accept and start living according to everything He enabled for us. He is SO HAPPY. Like a bridegroom finally getting to see his bride. Not just Jesus, but all of HEAVEN rejoices. When we become who we were always meant to be. When we enter into fellowship with God that NEVER needs to end. It is a celebration that is beyond our understanding. It is a JOY that it is hard to believe we are the cause of. This is how much God loves us. This is how much God wants us in relationship with Him. This is what EVERYTHING He did was about. Getting us back together WITH Him. He loves us so much, He is counting the days to our salvation and once saved, counting the HOURS until He sees us face to face and we can embrace.
