“Then He took the bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”” (Luke 22:19, MEV). Jesus loves us enough to let us use Him as a replacement for anything in our past that wants to stick around – but shouldn’t. The devil presses the replay button a LOT. He shows us our mistakes. Our foolishness. Our sins. Casting the light on anything that will bring upon us anxiety, shame, stress, depression, or fear. Jesus doesn’t do that. He is all about LIFE. We can remember what HE did for us in those situations. We can remember what HE did for us on the cross. We can remember what HE did for us in the world. We don’t have to live in a loop of our limitations. We can remember Jesus and His accomplishments instead. How He freed us. How He saved us. How He guides us. How He loves us. Every time the devil presses replay, we can press replace. We can use it as an opportunity to celebrate how Jesus saved us from that thing (whatever and whenever that thing was). In Jesus, we can celebrate EVERYTHING. We can rejoice in ALL THINGS. And we can do it at ALL TIMES. What a great Lord we have! What a loving God!
