Fear No Fear

“Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth which leads to godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began, and has in due time revealed His word through preaching, with which I was entrusted according to the command of God our Savior,” (Titus 1:1-3, MEV). Jesus loves us enough not to lie to us. We don’t seek to lie to those we love. Jesus NEVER lies to us. He doesn’t string us along telling us that if we pray a little more, read the Word a little more, or attend church more consistently that we’ll ‘make it’. He doesn’t tell us that we have it in us to accomplish righteousness. He doesn’t tell us that repenting and being sorry for our iniquities is enough. Jesus loves us enough to tell us that we NEED Him. That HE is the ONLY Way to the Father. That HE is the ONLY way to be saved. That HE is the ONLY worthy sacrifice and that He DID sacrifice Himself FOR US. Jesus doesn’t try to sell us a false bill of sale. He tells us the TRUTH. The absolute and OBJECTIVE truth. We NEED a saviour. There IS Sin. It NEEDED to be paid for. ONLY blood would do it, and ONLY completely innocent blood – HIS. He tells us what we need. He tells us what He did for us. And He makes it SIMPLE. He does NOT complicate it. He does NOT add to it. He does NOT make it burdensome. He made it and He keeps it SIMPLE. THAT is how much He loves us. He doesn’t want to confuse us. He wants us SAVED. He wants us in a relationship with Himself (ALL of God, not just His one aspect). He loves us that much. No ONE and no THING loves us that much. Only God. Only God loves us enough to always speak the absolute and unvarnished truth that we NEED a Saviour and He is it!
