Fear No Fear

“Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His purpose to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7, MEV). You know what we do when we truly love someone? We talk to them. Sometimes it’s messy. Sometimes it’s smooth. Most of the time it’s stream-of-consciousness nonsense. But we talk. We almost can’t help it. We find ourselves in love, we have to share our brain-goo. Jesus is the same way! In Matthew 24:36 Jesus tells us that the day when He returns as conquering King Messiah is known only by the Father. Why would that be? Because if Jesus knew, He would tell us. Jesus loves us. Jesus TALKS to us. About EVERYTHING He knows. But you have to love Him back. He doesn’t give the deep things to someone who isn’t seeking deep. He tells the surface things to the one who is a surface lover. He tells nothing to those who only give lip service – because they don’t really love Him. But Jesus TALKS. He warns us of things, encourages us about things, explains things, and everything in between. He doesn’t give NEW revelation because the Word IS the revelation. But He commentates. Holy Spirit commentates. They are CONVERSING with us. If we will listen, we’ll hear it. We will be told about what is right around the corner (John 16:13). About our traffic routes. The food we buy. The gas we fill up on. The conversations we have. We will have direction from Jesus about EVERYTHING. IF we will LISTEN. Jesus LOVES us. Jesus TALKS with us. Love Him back. Listen to Him.
