Fear No Fear

“‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God? Can a man be more pure than his Maker?” (Job 4:17, MEV). No! Humanity cannot be seen as righteous by God. Or pure. We aren’t in and of ourselves. But He KNEW that fallen humanity could not be godly. This is why Jesus volunteered to die. To become as a mortal man and be sacrificed for us. To pay Sin’s price (Genesis 2:16-17; Romans 6:23). To enable US to enter into HIS covenant with the Father so that WE can be seen as HE IS (2 Corinthians 5:21). This is why Jesus came. Because God loved us too much to let us stay where we were. Because God loved us too much to judge us and rightly condemn us as sinful – which we were before Jesus took us from darkness, washed us clean, transformed us, and placed us in His Light (Colossians 1:13). This is GOOD news because it is God’s news and only God is good (Mark 10:18). God’s heart is so much for us that He is always seeking to give us good things (James 1:17). He does it because He loves us. ALL of us. But we don’t get a relationship with Him – in spite of having good things given to us – until we accept the BEST THING: Jesus and His Lordship. God never stops desiring that connection. He never stops wanting us back with Him. He loves us SO MUCH. It is truly a tragedy when anyone rejects Him. It is always a reason for GREAT celebration when anyone accepts Him (Luke 15:10). He loves us more than anything else could. He is GREAT.
