So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (emphasis added)
Canadian families move once every seven years, on average. American families move once every five years. Overall, families in North America will move eleven times in their lifetime. We are a transient population. Transience may be a product of our society and educational systems, but it is the opposite of the Kingdom system. The Kingdom works on climbing and standing. Take the revelation truth Ruach HaKodesh reveals to your mind through the Word and climb on top of it. Stand there. Stand there and praise Adonai while you’re meditating on the revelation and getting it down into your heart. When Ruach HaKodesh illuminates another, climb it and stand. It’s all about Jesus. Standing on Him as you know Him and still stand when you know Him better. His will is for all of us to know the full depth of Jesus’ love for us (Ephesians 3:16-19).
The revelation from Ruach HaKodesh (or commentary if you prefer), is ROCK SOLID. But what kind of rock? Will it be GRANITE or GRAVEL? What is the atmosphere you are building? We were created as spirit beings housed in a body. “The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7). We’re beings with spirits inside us. “Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.” God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:26-27). Like Elohim is, so are we. He is Spirit, we have a spirit too. His words resonate in our spirit because we are spirits too. His Spirit at that. Like recognises like.
Adonai has the power to speak and create a solid, firm foundation. We have the ability to speak too. We speak with the same ability to create because we speak with His breath. But we have NO power. He has power. We have words that resonate. When we speak what HE spoke (the Word), our words have His power. When we speak AGAINST what He spoke, it doesn’t DILUTE the Word but in OUR life it MIXES it. It takes granite and shoves a bunch of other rock into it and turns it into gravel. It becomes sand. “But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, since he is a double-minded individual, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:6-8). “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money” (Matthew 6:24). “Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, but it did not collapse because its foundation had been laid on rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand” (Matthew 7:24-26).
Every word we say builds the rock because of TRUST or every word we say pollutes the rock because of our LACK of trust. I heard this today: ‘Doubt is spiritual anaemia and a form of atheism because to doubt His Word is to believe He does not exist.’ That is a very true statement. Jesus told us that if we can believe in what He says without doubting it would come to pass (Matthew 21:18-22). What was the KEY to that? “Jesus answered them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, if you believe, you will receive” (Matthew 21:21-22). If you have TRUST. That’s the key. Trusting in the Word is based on our relationship with Jesus. Doubt is our refusal to believe in Him. It’s a LACK of trusting our TRUST. We get whatever we ask for because we can’t ask for selfish things if we are truly trusting. If you’re truly trusting, you are placing your trust and belief in the Word. In what Jesus has said. That belief that your trust is real can SAVE you from doubt. Because you KNOW He tells the truth. You KNOW what the Word says. And you’ll be more than happy to submit to it because His way is ALWAYS the RIGHTEOUS way.
Doubt is fed by dilution. The thinner the substance, the less you’ll believe it is sincere and real. You won’t believe it’s butter when it is a pale imitation. You won’t accept it as juice if it is tasteless. Stew isn’t stew when it’s as thin as consommé. Belief is fed by substance. You thicken juice by adding more crystals. You add vegetables and flour to thicken the broth. If you add more, you have a better substance. Trust comes when we have substance informing it. “Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). The more we hear and take the time to process, the more we have inside us. The more we’ll bulk up. The stronger our belief will be. The more HONEST our trust will be. When our trust is honest, we’ll have less and less reason to point our attention anywhere else.
Being distracted keeps us from the Word. It keeps us from absorbing it. It’s the one thing you can guarantee that the devil will try. “When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches what was sown in his heart; this is the seed sown along the path” (Matthew 13:19). If the Word isn’t in your mind, your meditations have no fuel. Without fuel, how can it strengthen us? When we don’t feed our bodies, our bodies become weak. They get tired. If we don’t feed our spirits, they get tired. The world has some great things in it. All those that are from Adonai are clean. Everything else chips away at our internal view screen. They aren’t always evil in and of themselves, but they are ALL training our eyes to accept things that we shouldn’t. Little compromises. How do you avoid it? Speak against it. Talk to your TV, your computer, your phone, and your books. Say to it ‘That’s not what the Word says’ or ‘That’s wrong’ or ‘I don’t accept that’. Sounds silly or embarrassing, but you’ll start to notice how OFTEN you say it. If you have to CONSTANTLY stand against things with your words, are they worth taking in? They’re adding gravel to your pile. You can’t climb gravel.
If we want healing to be a reality in our lives, we need an atmosphere of His possibilities in our lives. His possibilities are spoken in the Word. Are you agreeing with Him? Are you speaking them? It can’t force His hand. Remember we submit to HIS point of view, HIS timing, and HIS plan of action. But how can you move when He says or accept when He holds something out if you haven’t created an atmosphere of agreement with EVERYTHING He has said? What atmosphere is feeding your mindset? Is it cloudy or clear? The more you agree with the Word, the better you can stand. The more you get His revelation of the Word into your heart the more revelation you can receive (not NEW revelation, but deeper understanding of the Word). Trust is built by hearing the Word about Jesus preached with our spiritual ears. We can read it, we can watch it, we can listen to it, and we had better think about it.
Make your atmosphere about Him, saturate it with the Word, and your stand will be stationary on HIM, not transient like the world. Your only moving will be vertical, getting closer to Him which brings Him closer to you. You will enable yourself to receive with a better atmosphere around yourself. So operate in trust, get the Word in you so you will naturally open your hands to catch what He is delivering.
Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Isaiah 53:4
“But he lifted up our illnesses, he carried our pain; even though we thought he was being punished, attacked by God, and afflicted for something he had done” Messiah would be thought to be cursed by Elohim. In the end, the Suffering Servant would not be the physically reigning king, but the Atoning Sacrifice. Those around Him would think He merited the punishment. That Elohim was judging Him for His claims and words. That something Messiah had done had brought all Elohim’s wrath upon Him. “In the same way even the chief priests—together with the experts in the law and elders—were mocking him: “He saved others, but he cannot save himself! He is the king of Israel! If he comes down now from the cross, we will believe in him! He trusts in God—let God, if he wants to, deliver him now because he said, ‘I am God’s Son’!”” (Matthew 27:41-43). The religious elite who hated Jesus felt His suffering was merited. They looked on it as a test He was failing. Even the others crucified with Jesus mocked Him (Luke 23:39). Jesus was scorned as one Elohim had cursed. Jesus IS Messiah!
