2026 Daily Affirmation #94

Now He who supplies seed to the sower and supplies bread for your food will also multiply your seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness” (2 Corinthians 9:10, MEV). In the Parable of the Rich Fool, the rich man stops planting in order to hoard his harvest (Luke 12:13-21). Nothing good comes of it. In the Parable of the Prodigal, the son plants nothing and runs out of resources fairly quickly (Luke 15:11-32). In Genesis 8:22, God tells Noah that seedtime and harvest have no end as long as the Earth remains. Seedtime turns into reproduction and multiplication and that changes our lives. But our God isn’t stingy. He isn’t looking to see what we manage to do with what we can find. Jesus loves us enough to supply us with seed. Yes, we still need to plant it. Yes, we still need to water it. Yes, we still need to perform or receive the harvest. But the seed that makes all the rest possible comes from God. He SUPPLIES what we NEED. Every time. If we don’t see any seed, we’re not looking at Him. We’re not focusing on Him. We’re not LISTENING to Him. He supplies the seed we need to get all the rest that we need. He is our Source. He is the start of it all and the end of it all. He loves us so much. He makes sure He is offering to us what we need to do the things we need to do. He doesn’t make us hunt for it, wrestle with it, or provide it out of our own strength. He gives it to us and then walks us through what we’re to do with it. He’s a GOOD God.
