Fear No Fear

“Samuel said, “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Obedience is better than sacrifice, a listening ear than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:22, MEV). It’s NOT our performance. It’s not how often we tithe or go to church or sing a praise song. God isn’t taking attendance. It’s all about our HEART intent. Do we love Him enough to listen to Him? To hear what HE has to say? Do we trust Him enough to obey what we hear? Difficulties? He’ll get you through. Lethargic? He’ll be your strength. Depressed or anxious? You can activate His joy. He has an answer for everything we face. If we will listen, we will get the strategy that will get us through. If we obey, He’ll walk with us through that strategy. It isn’t about the things we do. It’s about the intent of our heart as we do them. Are we in obedience or rebellion? Are we trusting in Him or doing it ourselves? He gave us ears to hear because He loves us. He will heal our ears so that we hear Him because He loves us. Do we love Him enough to turn off the noise? To focus on Him? To give Him our attention and respect? He loves us enough to talk to us. We should love Him back and pay Him attention.
