Fear No Fear

“But for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist. And there is one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist” (1 Corinthians 8:6, MEV). Jesus LOVES us. God LOVES us. But He is not ONLY a friend, a pal, and a buddy. He is also our PARENT. That means that while we can envelop ourselves in the love of Jesus, we CANNOT forget His righteousness. We are NOTHING compared to that. Only in JESUS do we have righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). We need to be corrected. We need to be guided. We NEED that. God is so gracious and merciful to us. But He doesn’t LIKE everything we do. There are things we do that anger Him. We should NOT be fearful of Him or of judgment. But that in NO WAY removes the TRUTH that we are in the wrong on that thing. And we need to be corrected. We are CHILDREN, not adults. God is our friend. He never leaves us and He never forsakes us. He is with us EVERYWHERE we are. He is ALWAYS looking out for us. But we MUST cooperate with Him. We MUST submit to Him. He is with us through the consequences of our wrong actions. Our wrong words. Our wrong thoughts. And He will walk us through them. He will be with us. Guiding us. Telling us the RIGHT thing to do, the GODLY thing to do. He’ll work with us for when we CHOOSE to align ourselves with Him and let Him teach us. As a parent teaches a child. So that we will pick His point of view. So that we’ll agree with His point of view. So that we’ll catch the fire of the love He has for us and turn around and spread it like wildfire in every area and avenue of our lives.
