Fear No Fear

“Therefore He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, because He at all times lives to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25, MEV). What is the evidence of Jesus’ love for us? He LIVES to make intercession for us. This is what He does. All day. All night. All year. Constantly. Jesus defends us. He doesn’t take vacations. He doesn’t take breaks. He isn’t off sipping coffee and having snacks. He is there. Always and ever. For you. For me. For all of those who chose Him. Who chose to accept His sacrifice. Who chose to make Him Lord. It doesn’t matter what you have done in the past. The minute you come to Him and accept Him as Saviour and Lord, He is there for you making intercession for you. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine caring so much for someone that you spend all of your time making sure they’re equipped, empowered, and being guided while at the same time coming against all the false accusations of poor performance that aren’t the reason they’re in the place they are in the first place? Most of us would give up after a few days. Jesus does it ALL THE TIME. We aren’t in Him because of our efforts, our actions, or our worthiness. Quite the opposite. We are in Jesus because of mercy, grace, and what Jesus did. We’ve NEVER deserved our salvation. We have it because He loves us. And He defends it because He loves us. Because what He did erases what we did when we submit to Him. When we choose to accept His payment, it becomes our payment (2 Corinthians 5:21). Once we make that choice, once we accept Jesus, God guides us, corrects us, defends us, upholds us, and does everything like He was doing it for Jesus. And He shows us He loves us by NEVER stopping, NEVER ceasing, and ALWAYS being there with us and for us. Jesus is our intercessor and He is that because He loves us so much.
