“For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6. MEV). God is CONSISTENT. When God opened the Way for everyone (not just His chosen people), the message did not change: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8, MEV). No matter what humanity ‘discovers’, that will NEVER change. No matter what mysteries we uncover. No matter what we observe. No matter what we wrestle with until we (think we) understand it. No matter what ‘evidence’ we collect. None of it. Not a single molecule of it. NONE of it changes the consistency of Jesus. God remains the same no matter WHAT we do, WHAT we think, WHAT we say, or WHAT we believe. His existence is OBJECTIVE, not subjective to what humanity thinks. God is OUTSIDE of creation – ALL of creation. He exists in and of Himself and needs no other (Exodus 3:14; Isaiah 45:5). That’s one of the great blessings of the Lord. He doesn’t deal with us according to His understanding (Isaiah 55:8), He deals with us according to ours AND THEN He enables us and empowers us to rise to His level in and through Jesus (1 Corinthians 2:16). When humanity discovers things and tries to wrestle out understanding from what we observe (which is what science is), God isn’t doing the same. He already KNOWS what it is. We can talk to Him. We can seek Him and ask for wisdom. We can get answers. And if the thing we’ve discovered has any significant impact on us as a group (humanity), I guarantee the Word deals with it – even if it doesn’t mention the specific thing. Because the Word is our journey with God. It is the light on our path in our dealings with Him. It is the roadmap to our spiritual selves. It is one of our key guides because Jesus IS the Word and the Word IS Jesus (John 1:1). Jesus loves us too much not to tell us what is what. Not to give us a clue. Not to keep anything we NEED to know from us. Does that mean there are no mysteries in the universe? No. It means that God LOVES for us to seek Him. God LOVES us to be curious so that He can reveal His glory to us. It means that anything that affects our relationship with Him has already been revealed to us and He will spotlight on any piece of that revelation that we need any time we need it (one of the ministries of Holy Spirit). The truth isn’t out there. He IS the truth and He loves us too much to leave us in the dark. He has ALWAYS explained things to us (think of the things revealed to Moses, Daniel, Isaiah, and John as examples) and He always WILL explain things to us. God LOVES to talk to us. It’s a GREAT blessing!
