“Shelah lived thirty years, and became the father of Eber. Shelah lived four hundred three years after he became the father of Eber, and became the father of more sons and daughters.”
(Genesis 11:14-15)
Shelah lived just long enough to see Esau and Jacob born. He was 415 years old when they were born and he died when they were eighteen. His son Eber was 385 when they were born.
Shelah died 2,126 years after the Fall – but they were still clearly connected to the Lord. Not everyone, but a remnant had stuck with the One who had saved them from the Flood and enabled them to spread across the Earth once more.
