2026 Daily Affirmation #168

My soul clings hard to You; Your right hand upholds me” (Psalm 63:8, MEV). Jesus loves us enough not to ignore us. God took the care to inscribe the name of Jerusalem in His palm. The name that represents His city. His people. A people we all get to be a part of – either by birth or adoption – because we are all able to become children of the promise through our trust in Jesus (Galatians 3:29, 4:23-28). He doesn’t just put that name there and then close His hand or cover it with something. He meditates on it. He dwells on it. He looks at it as a whole – the Church (Jew and Gentile) – and He looks at it as individual pieces – you and me. He SINGS over us and about us (Zephaniah 3:17). Think about that. Jesus makes up songs about us. The Father sings little rhyming ditties and then shares them with Jesus and Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit spends all day humming and softly crooning under His breath. About YOU. They are SO HAPPY to be with us and to have us with them. God WANTS fellowship with EVERYONE (1 Timothy 2:1-6). When He gets it, when we get saved and enter His presence, He doesn’t stop there. That is the BEGINNING of fellowship, not the end. He doesn’t want us to wait. Yes, there are future fulfillments of all His promises. Yes, there are parts of our salvation that we cannot enjoy before we have been totally and completely transformed so that we are exactly like Jesus is (without the divine part, naturally). But in every other way, God wants to rejoice in, over, and with us. He starts BLESSING us immediately. He starts talking to us and listening to us. He walks with us. He guides us into alignment with Himself. He goes out of His way to interact with us. He does NOT love us from afar. He loves us from as close as He can get to us because He wants us to love Him the same way. That is the love He enables in us. That is the love He’s gifted us. That is the love He wants to walk in with us. Co-mingled and interactive.
