“Yahweh’s angel said to Elijah, “Go down with him. Don’t be afraid of him.” Then he arose and went down with him to the king. He said to him, “Yahweh says, ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.’””
(2 Kings 1:15-16)
“The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.” The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.” He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end. But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house. “Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme; but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.””
(Mark 2:20-30)
When injured, the king of Israel didn’t send for a prophet of God. Didn’t consult the Lord in any way. He sent men to leave the kingdom and inquire of the idols of the nation next door. This is the person who is supposed to be the example of the nation. Supposed to lead the nation. His heart was so corrupted that he didn’t even go through the motions of proper worship. He was so consumed by ungodly thinking that he looked to idols and the advice of evil priests. He was judged for this failure of his office. He had to live with the consequences of refusing to consult the Giver of Life.
Jesus healed the demon-possessed and healed by casting out evil spirits (not that every illness is caused by the spiritual, but in some cases it is and Jesus didn’t shy away from it). In this case, because this action is impossible for a human being to accomplish on their own, the teachers who saw it claimed that Jesus was himself possessed by an evil spirit. Not any one, but the worst of them – the most scorned (the devil). Jesus pointed out that if evil tried to cast out evil, their whole kingdom would collapse. He also warned them that calling the Most Holy Spirit of Yahweh God the devil (Jesus was filled with Holy Spirit alone), they were blaspheming and hardening their hearts against the ONE Spirit that could led them to and through salvation. They were preventing their own salvation by rejecting the vehicle that delivered it.
Summary
Jesus is TRUTH. The Father is TRUTH. Holy Spirit is TRUTH. Facts can be true and perspectives can be true, but only TRUTH can be TRUTH. Human truths are not universal. They are accepted as ‘true’ because from a given perspective or by performing a given action, they can be ‘proved’ through repetition (reproducing the original result). This isn’t universal truth. This isn’t unbiased. This is SUBJECTIVE truth. It is only true here on Earth in the physical realm. God is OBJECTIVE truth. He is true and what He says is true no matter where you are, what form you are in, what you believe, what you can reproduce, and what you understand. It is true if you are alive or if you are dead. It is true whether you are in the physical realm or the spiritual realm. It is true because it is truth. We need to accept God for being the source of truth. We need to realize that only He can tell us what is or isn’t true. We need to submit to it whether we understand it, agree with it in our own thinking, or ‘feel’ it. There is no my truth or your truth. There is only God’s truth.
