2026 Daily Affirmation #187

As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man” (Matthew 24:37-39, MEV). Jesus loves us enough to protect us. The time is coming when those who have willingly sided with evil will be seized. They will be taken away. It will not eliminate ALL the wicked in the world, or everyone who isn’t saved. There will still be a LOT of people who aren’t dedicated to the Lord left. But there is a judgment that has been CHOSEN by people who are DETERMINED to have ANYTHING but God at the helm of their lives. They are going to be taken. Like the lost who were killed in the Flood, it will happen suddenly. It will be unexpected, unseen, and it will have dramatic consequences. But just like in the Flood, those who have willingly sided with God will be protected. The storm will be all around them, but they will be dry. The world will be transformed in massive and unimaginable ways, but they will be protected. The waters will die down, the tremors will cease, and then those following and holding to Jesus will be seen to have been kept safe. They will be islands of calm in the confusion and chaos. Places you can go to be blessed, cared for, given provisions, and teaching about the Most High God who will be revealed to all our hearts as being real. It’s easy to look at all the stuff happening in the world – ‘natural’ and man-made disasters – and lost heart. To be worried. To get anxious. But Jesus LOVES us. Jesus IS our protection. He IS our provider. We WILL have everything we need to survive and then thrive. Not because we are special or we’ve done the right things. Because JESUS did the things and JESUS promised to help and the FATHER gives us EVERYTHING we need. God loves us too much to leave us abandoned and helpless. We’re able to be a blessing to others in times of need because we are BLESSED. Because God is GOOD and God is MERCIFUL. The Great Day of the Lord is coming, but it isn’t a day of FEAR for the faithful in Jesus. It is a day to hunker down, worship Him, and be ready to assist ANYONE and EVERYONE that He brings to you for help. We will be a LIGHTHOUSE to the lost. A BEACON to this world. Proof that God doesn’t just love US, but He loves THEM TOO!
