Fear No Fear

“Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.”” (John 8:12, MEV). Jesus us loves us enough to shine His Light on us and for us. The Word is Jesus and Jesus is the Word (John 1:1-3). And the Word is a light that illuminates the Way that we are supposed to be walking (Psalm 119:105). Jesus is always interceding for us and we are meant to get into alignment with Him. So that what He is saying about us becomes the reality of who we are because we are living in Him and He is living in us and we are becoming one thing together (2 Corinthians 3:18). This happens because of Him. Because of Jesus. We aren’t doing it in our own strength. We are getting His light on something, and then we are working to understand His point of view on that thing, so that we can agree with Him and let His opinion be our opinion, and then we act on that opinion and get in accord with God. It’s a process. But it’s a process that Jesus is VERY invested in. The process of letting Jesus live through us and choosing to live in Him (Galatians 2:20). It doesn’t happen all at once. It doesn’t happen overnight. But every day, by getting into the Word, we are choosing to shine His light into our lives to see what He reveals in us for us to consider. What are we being shown? What are we hearing? What is it that we need to understand from God’s point of view? Through the lens of His moral character? Jesus loves us enough to shine for us. To reveal Himself to us. We need to love Him enough to engage with that.
