Fear No Fear

“So the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people” (2 Chronicles 30:20, MEV). God loves us enough to empower us to be healed. God provides healing in so many different ways. He heals us by His own direct action (Exodus 15:26). He heals us by providing us His Word, which is so full of life there is healing even in the ‘begats’ (Proverbs 4:20-22; Psalm 107:20). He heals us by providing for us abundant life in direct opposition to the curse of sickness, disease, and death (John 10:10). And in His presence, there is healing both physical and spiritual (Malachi 4:2; Psalm 16:11; 3 John 2). All of this is available for us to engage by our TRUST in Jesus (Mark 5:34; Matthew 9:22; Luke 18:42; Luke 17:19). We demonstrate that trust by submission and obedience. Submitting to the Lord AS our Lord, trusting that He will do what He said He will do, and believing that those things are TRUTH is what enables us to be healed. It puts us into an environment where there is so much healing, there isn’t any place for sickness! And because we believe it, we do not let ourselves be influenced by time or observation. It doesn’t mean we ignore what is on us. it means we put our trust in Him. We let HIM choose our path. We let HIM choose our timing. We rely on HIM and obey what we hear (which can include going to see the doctors He blessed with medical knowledge). It isn’t about the physicality of it as much as it is about the SPIRITUALITY of it. We rely on Him. We trust in Him. So we are content in Him. It is in HIM that we get our peace about it. It is in HIM that we get our everything. We look to HIM by submitting and obeying. We will get great JOY because of it. We can – in truth – praise our way into JOY every single day. What is available in the Lord is all around us when we place ourselves in Him with all our trust and all our belief. We simply CHOOSE to rely. We simply CHOOSE the Lord. Every day. Every way. Every time. And that puts us in a place surrounded by LIFE and LOVE and PEACE.
