2026 Daily Affirmation #236

You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far off. You search my path and my lying down and are aware of all my ways” (Psalm 139:2-3, MEV). God knows us enough to keep His finger on our pulse. Jesus ALWAYS knows what to say. Every. Time. He knows what we need to correct us. What we need to guide us. What we need to encourage us. What we need to snap us out of whatever we’ve snapped ourselves into. What we need for relief. What we need for everything. He ALWAYS knows because He NEVER forsakes us, leaves us, ignores us, overlooks us, avoids us, ghosts us, or leaves us on read. He is connected to us. He lives inside us. We are one third wall to wall Holy Spirit. Our spirits reside in the presence of the Most High God. We can’t SEE any of that or FEEL it most of the time, but it is TRUTH. The problem is that we lean into what we CAN see and what we DO feel. We put our eyes on the things of this world. Because they’re shiny and colourful and well executed and here. That’s really it. They are here. We can see them, hear them, touch them, etc. We know that they are because we can see them. We can’t ‘see’ God. We have to trust. We have to exercise our belief. We need to lean into what He says instead of what we see around us. We need to engage what He has given us instead of going with whatever feeling we have in the moment. That takes effort and that takes discipline and that is not anywhere near as easy as going with what we can see. But Jesus is here with us. He KNOWS what is in our hearts, and before our eyes. He KNOWS what we feel. He KNOWS what we can see. And He speaks to us in that. Every time. He has things to say that will help us get our eyes off seeing and onto trusting. He always has the right thing to tell us. To teach us. To guide us in. He always has the right command – not suggestion – and we need to obey. We need to listen and we need to obey. It will ALWAYS get us to the right place. To the best place. To His place. Every. Time.
