Fear No Fear

“As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man” (Matthew 24:37, MEV). Jesus loves us enough to close the book. Sin entered creation a long time ago. A short time from now, from God’s point of view, Sin will be completely removed. Creation will be restored. Whether that is a renewal of what exists in a transformative way into something brand new or whether that is a removal of all that is and a replacement with something created as brand new. Either way, this age of fallenness will end. Jesus loves us enough to want us to walk in the Way we were designed to walk. Hand in hand with God. Face to face conversations. Working our work according to how He laid it down. Multiplying Heaven until all of creation is full of His glory just as Adam was commanded to. Living life like it was meant to be. In order to do that, this part of it has to be closed down. And it is going to happen. The timeline isn’t important. God created eternity. He isn’t concerned with time the way we are. The point is not WHEN it is going to happen. The point is HOW it is going to happen. Suddenly. Without an exact warning. While we are living our daily lives and making our plans for the future. Noah spent a century building the ark and preaching repentance and righteousness to everyone he encountered. That was their warning. When the Flood came, it came suddenly. Normal day and the BOOM. Disaster. Jesus loves us enough to warn us that it is going to be sudden. The end will come when it comes and it will cut through our daily lives. It doesn’t matter when it comes. It doesn’t matter how long to process will be (hours, months, or years). When it starts it will be SUDDEN. It will take us by surprise. This is the warning we’re getting. It’s been sitting there for awhile now and is still as valid. Live every day right with the Lord. Don’t wait to get right later. Don’t wait to repent. Repent, learn, pray, praise, and get close to Him. Check in with Him every day. Spend time with Him. Be ready to be ready whenever it happens. We are full-on in birthing pains (Matthew 24:8). Labour can take a LONG time. But when it starts, nothing can stop it. We have to be ready to be ready. He loves us enough to end fallenness. We need to love Him enough to be ready whenever He is.
