Fear No Fear

“Yahweh of Armies says: “Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come. The inhabitants of one will go to another, saying, ‘Let’s go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’ Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.” Yahweh of Armies says: “In those days, ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”

“Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God. Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers, and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore I will give praise to you among the Gentiles and sing to your name.” Again he says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” Again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Let all the peoples praise him.” Again, Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.” Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.”

God would start a renewal. There would be a remnant that would turn back to Him and through them God would start a renewal. There would be proper worship in the Land again. Jerusalem would be the centre of it and all the people from all the cities would come up to Jerusalem and worship the Lord there. A promise of hope to captives and exiles. There would be a Temple again. There would be proper worship again. And it would spread throughout the whole Land.

In and through Jesus, Gentiles have been grafted into the family of God. They have NOT replaced the Jews. They have been added. There is still restoration coming to the Jews. There will be worship centred in Jerusalem. The world will come to worship the Lord there. There will be a restoration of true trust and belief in Yahweh God Almighty that will spread throughout the entire world. We will all worship Him – those that don’t set themselves against Him. Jesus will be revealed as the complete Messiah of all people – Suffering Servant and Conquering King. Our hope is in Jesus and the world will participate.

Summary

The Church is made up of all who believe and trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. It doesn’t matter if the believers are Jews or Gentiles, they are the Church. The Gentiles have not replaced the Jews. The Jews are still God’s chosen people. Still God’s children. Gentiles have been adopted in. We are not in competition with each other. Gentiles do not take the place of Jews in prophecy or role. We each have our part. You can love and support Jews while disagreeing with politics and decisions that you see. Pray for them. Pray for their restoration. Pray for the renewal of their relationship with Yahweh. Pray that the remnant – and there IS a faithful remnant worshipping God in spirit and truth – will be able to spread His message until it reaches every corner of the Land. Our hope is in Jesus. Our love is for one another. And we ALL are seeking His return – Jew and Gentile. We are TOGETHER the Church. We are TOGETHER the family of God. TOGETHER Jesus is our hope and strength and grace.
