Fear No Fear

“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all” (2 Thessalonians 3:16, MEV). God loves us enough to share His nature with us. His nature is peace. That is the environment in which He lives. The ‘air’ of the Kingdom. It comes from trusting in Him (Isaiah 26:3). When we believe what He says, and we truly trust in Him, then we will have peace. And why not? We’re trusting in the Creator of the Universe(s). We’re trusting in the only One who has any real power. We’re trusting in the One who gives us every good thing that we need. We’re trusting in the One no one and nothing can stand against. That should bring us peace. The majority of our children tend toward peace because they don’t worry about their next meal. About whether they’re going to have clothes to wear. About whether they have somewhere to rest. About whether they are safe. They take these things for granted because we provide them. They aren’t worried about them or picking up strife about them. They trust us. They EXPECT us to give it to them. God provides all our needs. Jesus released salvation and healing and restoration to us (Isaiah 53:5; Acts 4:12; 1 Peter 5:10). The Word is life to our bodies (Proverbs 4:22). The Joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Holy Spirit indwells us and the Father gives life to our bodies through Him (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Romans 8:11). Why don’t we EXPECT these things to really come to pass? To be a reality in our lives? We are NEW CREATIONS (2 Corinthians 5:17). We don’t have to follow the rules of the world. We can have more than because God is MORE THAN. We can have, we can expect, to have what God says come to pass simply because God said it. We can’t force His hand. We can’t claim what He didn’t offer. But we CAN have what He says we can have. We CAN engage what He has released. We CAN be changed piece by piece, glory to glory, until we are standing 100% renewed and restored and recreated before His Throne face to face. We CAN have what He says. We can believe Him. We can have it. And our belief that we can have what He says should give us peace. Because we are secure and safe in Him. Because He is trustworthy. Because what He says will come to pass will come to pass. Because He is God and He is GOOD.
