2026 Daily Affirmation #285

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh” (2 Corinthians 10:3, MEV). God loves us enough to make sure we know where the fight is. This is VERY freeing, because it means we aren’t spending our time to spend our efforts to make something happen. We aren’t responsible for making it happen. We aren’t developing the weapons. We aren’t firing them. We aren’t the ones doing the things. God is doing all of it. ALL of it. What WE are doing is retraining our minds so that we understand what is happening, so that we see His point of view, and so that we align ourselves with Him (Romans 12:2, James 4:7). God gives us His armour. God lends us His fruit and encourages us to grow our own in our hearts as we do. God trains us. God equips us. God encourages us. God guides us. God corrects us. God does ALL the heavy lifting. When we look through the Word we see God using unqualified people again and again and again. We couldn’t do that. When we use unqualified people, businesses fail. Lives can be put at risk. Not with God. God is the ONLY one qualified for anything. He works with us so that we are doing the standing, the believing, and the trusting while He does everything else. We need to bring our sword (the Word), but He is the one who wields it. It is all about whether or not we believe Him and whether or not we trust Him. Our trust unlocks the door to victory. A victory He won for us. A victory He provides for us. A victory He offers to us. We need to believe He did it – that He in fact HAS the victory. And we need to trust that we will see it. That we will experience it. That we will walk in it. Not because of anything we do, but because of everything He has done. It’s a mental fight of what and who we are trusting in. That’s our battle. That’s what we need to strive for all the time. Every day. To trust Him. Holy Spirit encourages us to do just that, pointing out all our opportunities to trust. The Father gave us self-control so that we can choose to trust. Jesus showed us how to do it on a daily basis. And God is right there with us, hand in hand, encouraging us to do what He has shown us to do. Trust in the Lord. Don’t give up. Stand on your belief in Him. He is faithful. He is trustworthy. He is true. And He is good. So VERY good. It’s a mental fight to keep making the right choice: Him.
