“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord” (Jeremiah 17:7, MEV). God loves us enough to prove His Word. We all have expectations. Those expectations birth our hope. We hope for this, we hope for that. We begin to eagerly expect things. But what do we expect? What is it that we hope for? Usually, human things. Things we understand or that we have been trained to expect. But that is a very small pool to draw from. God loves us and offers a covenant to us. The covenant that Jesus made with the Father on and through the cross. The covenant of Jesus’ blood. Through this covenant, we have access to all the promises of God. That is a very LARGE pool to draw from. We draw from it through our trust. The more we get into the Word and study it, seek to understand it and what it is saying to us, the clearer and clearer that pool gets. There are promises to His children, the Jews. There are promises to His children, believing Gentiles. There are promises to all those who believe in Jesus as the Son of God and Messiah, the church (Jew and Gentile). There are promises to Israel the nation. There are promises to the nations of the Earth. There are specific promises to specific people, nations, times, and places. There are general promises to all humanity. The Word is FULL of promises. Through Jesus, we have access to all the promises that we qualify for. All it takes is reading them, understanding their context, understanding if there are restrictions, and then believing that God is telling the truth. Once we believe, we trust that He will follow through. It is not complicated, but it takes a decision. He loves us enough to promise us BLESSING. If we love Him to, we’ll trust Him, believe His Word, and obey Him. By doing this, all the promises that we qualify for will come to pass for us. It’s that simple. God promises, and God ALWAYS keeps His promises. He NEVER fails. EVER. When He is our eager expectation and when we trust in Him, we are NEVER disappointed. EVER. Don’t put a time limit on it. Never mix trust with time. Just believe what He says, trust Him, and eagerly expect the BLESSING that will be yours. God meets ALL our needs. God keeps ALL His promises. He is a GOOD God!
