Fear No Fear

“Therefore Pilate said to Him, “Then are You a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”” (John 18:37, MEV). Jesus doesn’t just love us enough to tell us the truth, Jesus IS Truth. This is objective truth. Truth that is true no matter what your opinion is. Truth that is true no matter what your feelings are. Truth that is true no matter what your education is. No matter what your understanding is. No matter what your culture is. No matter what your beliefs are. It is TRUTH, which means it is TRUE. Period. Full stop. No exceptions, substitutions, or changes in any way. Jesus didn’t set out to keep it from us. God doesn’t want us ignorant. Holy Spirit is our guide to get us right smack dab in the middle of it. They WANT us to know the truth. Jesus came to witness that the truth was real. And He passed that job onto us. Jesus didn’t shove the truth down anyone’s throat. He spoke it. Jesus didn’t insult them or fight them or laugh at them in scorn and derision. Jesus told the truth when He was asked. Jesus spoke the truth when He had an opportunity. He didn’t shy away from it. He didn’t sugarcoat it. He spoke it loud, proud, and with compassion. He spoke it to kings. He spoke it to beggars. He spoke it to people who thought their following of religious rules would save them. He spoke it to people who couldn’t read or write. He spoke it to enemies. He spoke it to His own people. He spoke it to strangers. He spoke it to family. And He modelled what He spoke. He showed how it worked. He is STILL doing that. He is STILL showing us. He is STILL speaking to us. He is NEVER EVER EVER going to stop. Because the truth is there to be found. It is there to be known. It existed outside of creation. It imbues creation. It IS. He wants us to find it. To know it. To model it to the world around us. And to spread it. Not viciously. Not at the end of a gun or sword. He wants us to teach it, not kill those who don’t know it. He wants us to love it. To love it into the world. To love it into people’s hearts. The truth is true, and when we know it then it sets us free. Free from the lies. Free from the bondage. Free from the chains holding us and our thinking down. Free from old patterns. Free from turmoil. Free to be loved and to love. Free to be at peace. Free to be whole and healed. Free to be everything God says we can be. Free to live in Jesus and to let Jesus live through us. That is the truth. It is true. And it will NEVER change.
