2026 Daily Affirmation #253

He is the brightness of His glory, the express image of Himself, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had by Himself purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3, MEV). Jesus loves us enough to uphold us – no matter what. Jesus was on the cross being tortured and while that was happening He was upholding them. He was keeping them alive as God even as He was being killed by them. Boggles the mind, but that’s how much God loves us. It brings us to another question. A really important one. Whose idea of you are you going to conform to? Your own, the world’s, or the one Jesus is upholding? Are you going to accept His thoughts as YOUR thoughts, or are you going to go your own way? Jesus has HIGH thoughts of us. Thoughts of us safe, whole, healed, complete. Thoughts of us spiritually prosperous. Thoughts of us content and blessed and doing well. Thoughts of us victorious in Him. Thoughts of us successful from His point of view. Are we going to align ourselves with His thoughts? Or are we going to limit ourselves? Are we going to reject or ignore what He is offering? It doesn’t mean ignoring what is going on around us. It doesn’t mean pretending that everything is fine. It means choosing to deny the power of those things to affect us. It means choosing not to let those things dominate our thinking. It means choosing to put them where they belong: under His feet. Giving Him our burdens. Giving Him our cares and woes. Letting HIM deal with them and concern Himself with them. Meanwhile, we REPLACE that thinking with His thinking. Keeping our minds on things of God. On the thoughts of Jesus. On the promises of the world. This isn’t starry-eyed attempts to manifest our desires and wants. This is us accepting that Jesus has thoughts about us and our choosing to think the same things as Him. To accept what He is offering, how He is offering it, when He’s offering it, and the way He is offering it. Humbly submitting to the plan that is on the mind of God. Choosing Him and His Way. It’s a total re-alignment. And it is ALWAYS the best idea.
